Woof your way to Bespoke Dog Biscuit Cutters
Have you ever wondered about making your own dog biscuits? No, us neither – but then we’re a cat household. But a lovely client of ours, came to us for bespoke cookie cutters. After developing various paws and bones, we asked: what are you doing with them? Ahh she said… I’m creating a bespoke dog biscuit business.
Well that sure was a revelation to us – and she’s still designing and finalising her recipes. It’s taken her over a year to get all the legal bits and bobs (technical term there) in place. Because it’s not only a case of mixing flour, peanut butter and an Oxo cube together and baking. It’s far more complex, and in some cases the legislation is more stringent than for humans.
But, that’s business baking. There’s nothing to stop you making your own biscuits for your pets. Indeed, you’ll know what goes in them and how certain ingredients react to your pet. And yes, you can get cutters from any outlet store, but can you get 1cm cutters for training treats? Can you get 13cm cutters to make large biscuits that you can break up for several dogs at a time? No, you can’t. Which is where *coughs* we come in! For we can create cutters to suit the exact needs of you and your dog.
Other animals are available
Note though that it’s not only dogs we help out. We’ve worked with several horse biscuit suppliers too, creating unique cookie cutters for them so they can provide tasty treats for the family pony.
On that basis we thought we’d share the recipe we use when testing cookie cutters for dog biscuits. Here it is from the Blue Cross – Blue Cross and also a couple of our clients who create for cookies and cakes for dogs.

Our final piece of advice is to check who you’re buying your pet biscuits from: not everyone is licensed. And if you’re venturing into the world of dog/cat/horse or pet biscuits, we’re always looking for new partners. We can design to your specifications and make you stand out from the crowd.
We love a good old chat so why not contact us and see if we can help you take a new turn this year.
